Moroccan Field Tiles
Moroccans like to use loose ceramic field tiles to cover large, horizontal spaces, such as floors of patios, drive ways, and courtyards. They are generally made into three different shapes: squares, rectangles, and octagons. They are available in 24 different colors, all natural earth tones. Field tiles can be installed into many different floor patterns, such as arrows, basket weave, zigzag etc. In addition there are bullnose tiles and 90 degree angle pieces that are used for corners and edges. Just like the other kinds of Moroccan tiles, loose field tiles look great in upscale spaces. They are environmentally friendly and are commonly used in harmony with Mediterranean architecture.
